‘Infezione’ was an inspiring HC/punk band with an anarchist message, from Modena (Italy). Their Engish wasn’t brilliant but their erudite spokesman Enrico Manicardi (guitar & vocals) was able to convey their messages through extensive booklets that came with their releases. They did a demo called Oppressione Quotidiana (Daily Oppression; re-released as a benefit for the political prisoners of the Genua G8) and 2 LPs entitled Chiediti El Perche (Ask Yourself Why) & Religione Oppio Dei Popoli (Religion Opium For The People). Nowadays Enrico is a lawyer and author (enricomanicardi.it)
This interview was published in the anarchist/radical zine, Endless Struggle, from the Canadian West coast (Vancouver, BC). They stopped after 12 issues. The collective also helped the Anarchist Black Cross (supporting anarchist and class-struggle prisoners) with a compilation-tape, and ran a distribution.
